Hey local queers - let’s get outside and enjoy the spring blooms together!
RSVP for Free Below
Join us for a free Wildflower Walk on May 2nd at 5 PM at Champoeg State Park. The camas and fritillary will be in bloom and there’s no better time to wander the trails and fields together in search of spring beauty.
This will be a casual, low-key walk - perfect for taking in the sights, chatting with new friends, and reconnecting with nature. We’ll stroll for an hour or two on a mix of paved trails and muddy fields. Weather permitting, we’ll stick around after for a relaxed picnic lunch.
What to bring:
Waterproof shoes or boots (it might be muddy!)
Layers for changing weather: sunscreen, sweaters, raincoats, hats
Binoculars or a camera
Wildflower or bird ID books
Snacks, water, and snacks if you want to hang out after
Meetup Info:
Date: Saturday, May 2nd
Time: 5 PM
Location: Champoeg State Park - Please RSVP so I can email you the exact meetup location!
Cost: Free to attend, but note that the state park charges $10 for parking (or it’s free with an Annual Parking Permit)
Let’s go hunt for some flowers and meet new friends!
We’re Hayden & Madeline - a queer couple who live just across the road on our flower farm. The Champoeg area has been my Hayden’s home for six generations and we’re excited to share some of my favorite wildflower spots with you. Living in a rural area can be isolating, so we wanted to create a space for small-town queers (and our allies!) to connect, explore, and enjoy the beauty of spring together.
